  1. Knowing Israel is actively committing genocide and this is being actively enabled by the US, I do not see on what grounds anyone thinks they would be trying to negotiate in good faith.

  2. I don’t really see what’s unacceptable. Can somebody explain to me what the US thinks is unacceptable about the Hamas answer, except the fact that it’s from Hamas?

  3. The real question is why, if Hamas actually cares about the Palestinians, do they not jump at any chance to stop the fighting and get relief for their people for even a limited amount of time? Surely 60 days is better than none at all. Why is Hamas letting perfect get in the way of good? Is it because they actually don’t care about any Palestinians not already in Hamas?

The most interesting thing about all of this is that Netanyahu’s bitch Witkoff initially proposed nearly this exact agreement but once the Israelis got involved they changed it dramatically. Hamas is now bringing it back to how Witkoff originally framed it but he’s feigning outrage anyways.

Funnily enough Hamas is now adding *back in* wording describing how a new government will form and Hamas will step down.

I repeat, Israel ***removed*** wording about Hamas stepping down and Hamas is putting it back in, you can’t make this shit up. I look forward to how Hasbara spins this.

    > An independent technocratic committee will immediately assume management of all affairs of the Gaza Strip upon the start of the agreement’s implementation, with full authority and responsibilities

    > A cessation of mutual (hostile) military operations between the two parties for a long period of 5-7 years, guaranteed by the mediators (the United States, Egypt, and Qatar).

  5. Hostages will be released but the war won’t is what Witkoff and Israel wants so why would H agree to those conditions, especially after all this time? On top of that Hamas already said they’ll stop being charge and let a new government take over.
