I wouldn’t trust russia with any info about this. This could be just a bridge collapse because all the maintenance workers are fighting in ukraine or dead. And it’s easy to blame ukraine for all your fuckups

A passenger train most definitely is not what Ukraine would have targeted. Either an operation went awry or the bridge collapsed from lack of maintenance. Civilian operations on Russia’s side of the border region are disturbed by the war too (far less than in Ukraine, but still ver much noticeable).

When I hear that a bridge collapsed and a train derailed in Russia, my first thought is that it’s due to corruption, negligence, and stupidity. Crying sabotage requires proof or an admission from the other party.
Super convenient to be in a war with your neighbor so you can just blame any and all shit that goes wrong in your country on them regardless if they had any involvement.
