If only there was some way of avoiding this. Maybe, European nations could be in some kind of union.
Aww diddums.
Brexit was a brilliant move
Yet how many of you will go ahead and vote Reform anyway?
Good idea but I’m not sure it would work we’d have to give up all those great deals with other countries. Imagine all those immigrants coming here taking our jobs. The price of food and energy would increase
The NHS would lose £350 million a week to pay for the privilege
As I say good idea but it never work
We’re really linking to the Daily Star in UK news?
You get what you vote for.
Went to Spain 2 weeks ago. We never got stuck in a que at either end of the journey.
People will bang on about Brexit, but this is a tourist destination and if they want tourist money then they need to staff it appropriately. If they don’t want tourist money then they won’t give a damn when people start saying “anywhere but Tenerife”.
Has anyone read the article?
First World Problems. Hardly inhumane. Try living in Palestine and being subjected to a genocide. Then talk about queuing up for hours as inhumane.
It’s clearly a punishment for our (speaking generally here) poor choices politically and our behavior. The Spanish don’t want us there (and who can blame them).
Take the significant amounts Brits abroad spend there elsewhere.
EES will be introduced this year. Then everyone will go through quickly ( hopefully)
This has nothing to do with Brexit. You people are strange.
Faro airport this week has 2-3hr delays at the border, none of the machines work and they have 4 officers doing 1000 people at a guess.
This has everything to do with poor airport management and zero to do with Brexit. Apparently the machines at FARO haven’t been working since they were installed a few years ago.
I was at Lanzarote airport a couple of weeks ago. I queued over an hour and check in and the line behind me more than doubled in length afterwards. The issue was bags weren’t moving after being put on the belt.
The passport part before boarding was about 30 minutes as well. A pretty bad experience compared to flying out there.
Book Clacton instead.
Brexitshit means brexshit
It’s what we voted for….
Went to Tenerife this week. Reasonable queue after landing and another one to get to the gate before we left. Neither were inhumane and they went down fairly quickly. A few stressed people on the return flight though, especiallyas the gate closedtimes approached. And some grumbling about Brexit of course.
There were three queues. One was over 18s which took people to the e gates and one was for families which was overwhelmingly the longest queue which we were in. I forget what the third one was. Anyway, the families queue required an actual person (there were two people on) which slowed things down a bit rather than us all staring in to a camera.
The woman behind us (who was on a later plane than us) panicked, abandoned her family and went through the 18+ queue telling them “don’t worry, you’ll make it”. She got the blame in the Brexit discussion too.
For the record we made it with a few minutes to spare helped greatly by the fact they were still disembarking the incoming flight
This is an annoyance, not an emergency.
