  3. The idea, presumably, is that players should feel that the shirt they play for is worth more than any shirt they could swap it with.

    I’m not sure I agree with the idea, but it’s not “odd” by any stretch of the imagination. And if it keeps the team playing the way they have been, then long may it continue.

  4. What a load of twaddle. If you get a chance to swap your shirt with Yamal or Vinicius or course you will.

    There is more sanctity and sanity in swapping, than holding onto your shirt for it to be displayed at Mold Alexandra.

  5. It’s a mindset thing. He wants the players to stop feeling like the plucky underdogs, but to feel like wearing the Wales shirt is the biggest honour of their lives, and that it is not something to be given away lightly. I get the intention, even if the framing is a little odd.
