Is this an okay dirndl? I have no sense of what is ‘good’ when it comes to dirndls. I tried some out and i feel the shorter ones (50cm) fit me best. So do darker colors, but i did not manage to find one.. thoughts please? 🫶😇

  1. Looks a little bit short.
Don’t forget the blouse. While short Dirndls might be accepted or acceptable, do not wear it without the correct Dirndl Blouse.

  2. Yes, it looks more modern and is very fashionable. It seems to have a good quality, so enjoy!

  3. Generally looks nice, but it also depends on the material, so keep an eye on that. Very cheap ones are made from a poor material and you can see that in reality

  4. I think it’s a really nice Dirndl 🙂
There usually are darker ones, too. Especially burgundy, dark blue & dark green are often available or even black like [this one (bon prix)](https://www.bonprix.de/produkt/dirndl-mit-pailletten-schuerze-2-tlg-set-schwarz-gemustert-910050/?shopId=178676&assetId=24114256&ft=178676%7C&rt=NO_RANKING%7Cno_alternative_ranking%7C) but trends among dirndls change, too. A lot of brands have had lighter ones (especially light grey & pink tones) in the last couple of years.

If you really like this one but want to go darker, you could combine it with a black blouse, but i guess that’s quite modern and less traditional (not to say that that’s bad).
I think the most important things that make a dirndl look great are fabric & fit, especially around the bust& waist. This one definitely checks the fabric part& if it fits you well, it’s a great choice. If you want to find darker ones, I’m sure you’ll find some though 🙂

  5. Where are you planning to wear this? For Stuttgarter Wasen or other parts of Germany it’s probably fine but in Bavaria you may look like a tourist with a Dirndl this short.
