So how will the revenue lost from the $10k auto loan deduction in the One Big Beautiful Bill compare to forgiving $20k in student loan debt? Why are we rewarding people for getting themselves in bad debt and demonizing those who were forced to take out loans to go to school?
As one American that assumed loan forgiveness was never happening, I paid mine off during the interest freeze. Great decision, wouldn’t do anything different.
I’m still pro forgiving everyone else’s loans.
We all know that people just love taking on debts and not paying them.
Those students should be 4ever punished for whatever choice we allowed them to make at the beginning of their adult life.
Instead of providing them with solutions and trying to make them productive adult being, let’s just burry them under an ever growing amount of debt that they might or might not ever be able to ever get out off.
That sure is the best way to lift people out of poverty./s
I am an American who paid off his student loans. It was difficult and took years, and I would be very happy if no one ever had to worry about student loans again. Education should never have a profit motive. At the very least, ban student loan interest.
I know someone who got raped. Therefore everyone should be raped.
I don’t think we should cure cancer because it would be unfair to the people who already died of cancer.
