  1. [MKS 180 frigate](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MKS_180_frigate)

MKS 180 (Mehrzweckkampfschiff 180) is the working title for a planned frigate class intended to replace the Brandenburg-class frigates for the German Navy. The ships are to be the largest surface warships to join the Navy since World War II. The first ship is planned to be commissioned in 2028.

  2. Perfect! Build enough of them ! European navy is currently too small for all the challenges we are facing.

  3. Nearly 10000 tonnes and only 16 VLS cells for which all are used for ESSM’s? That’s not a lot of firepower relative to tonnage. The type 26 and their derivatives all carry double the missile load.

I understand that they have issues with a lack of ports overseas and thus need the range but their allies do have ports.
