  11. The REAL danger to us all is that these judicial losses that keep piling up against him pointing out that nearly everything he is doing is clearly unconstitutional, illegal, outside the bounds of Presidential power are setting up a country killing showdown.

    Because you will either have the SCOTUS overturning EVERYONE, handing Trump win after win and thus ending ANY credibility the SCOTUS may still have. And/or you have the scenario where the SCOTUS reigns him in by handing him key losses such as birthright citizenship, tariffs, defunding the government outside Congress, etc., but a few wins such as immigration deportations and firings of some departments. And MAGA loses their fucking minds and decides it’s the “deep state” and the whole world vs Trump and they outright ignore court rulings. They hard and fast continue to do whatever they want. Nothing stops them at all.

    At that point elections won’t matter because they won’t listen, they won’t comply with any democrat congressional hearings or legislation or limits. The 2028 election could be a total sham or he outright cancels it with some BS finding that 2020 and 2024 were rigged and that elections aren’t safe so he’ll stay.

    The ONLY potential saving grace is the Republicans in Congress realize they are going down in a blue tsunami and in a mat ditch effort impeach and remove him.

    If their stupid actions get blocked, they can use that to rile up the base, and their base doesn’t get negatively impacted by the stupid.

The scary part is when it is I am, then you must do what that group does as it is you. Think of the other I am statements and how they shape everything. I am male, I am white, I am I am. Our tribalism starts with “I am” statements and builds from there. The scary part is that the break from that can cause a downward spiral of depression and other mental/physical issues. How many people collapse when statements like “he is…” Or “he is not…” The father is spoken.

    Moving maga to “I am” realm of thought moves it beyond cult and into identity, the scary part is the lengths people will go to protect their identity. People will take the mental shortcut past individualism and critical thinking toward group think and blind faith. Whether the religious right intended it, we may be watching the birth of a new pseudo religion.

  28. This article is misleading. It was initially a loss until the appeals court stayed the ruling. The battle is not over. And declaring victory is premature. It’s shit like this that causes people to take their foot off the gas. It’s like spending your bonus before the money hits your bank.
