Oh my goodness the poor woman! Jesus that’s awful sad. Going out to do something for a good cause and not coming home to celebrate the achievement
Wow, that is terrible
Poor girl, hopefully she was proud of what she achieved. It’s an incredible achievement and she deserved to be able to celebrate it. Really sad.
Damn that is terrible. RIP
fucking hell that’s just awful .. Poor woman and her family. My condolences to her loved one.
Terrible, at the finish line too like most of these things tend to happen unfortunately.
This has me taken aback. That must be so devastating to the family. Do we have any idea of the cause of death?
Jesus, that’s terrible to hear
Always see at least a couple of people needing some sort of medical assistance for these long distance runs but can’t remember the last time I heard of anyone dying at one
RIP
God, that’s horrendous. How terrible for the event staff as well.
I ran the marathon and there was a striking number of people needing medical attention at each leg. I wasn’t expecting anyone to die. The poor woman. Rip.
I have known a few folks who after doing a marathon where in a physically worse state for months afterwards, unless you have been training all your life, and decide to jump in and do a marathon it’s a proper shock to the system
Just found out my mom knows her dad… terrible… may she rest in peace.
Heart rate monitors really should be mandatory to highlight possible issues
