Final PSG – Inter Milan: the heaviest defeat in a Champions League final • FRANCE 24 English
Ruben sla what a game and I have to give you credit because you predicted if in do not get the basics right Pakistan could run away with this you actually said 4-0 I don’t think even you predicted five it was a close call right no listen we what we said before and what we were discussing was PSG had to play their own game go after them go one v one on the whole pitch and that was what they did they were extraordinary From the beginning, in was below par in everything, but you don’t take anything away from how PSG played this game. They went for it. They were they wanted to win it. And tactically, uh, technically, mentally, physically, just everything, they were just all over the place. And just a reminder for our viewers, this is the heaviest final defeat of all time. Yeah. Well, I mean, there there’s also part of it in part because, yeah, they were they were very very poor. I mean Demarco as as an example because he was completely outplayed by by Hakeime on everything. Uh but he was not the only one. I think that you saw everything what what in was afraid of I think and and especially the battle on midfield. James was already saying it they lost it on on on on points on on just everything. So yeah they they there’s also nothing to say from their side. It’s just uh I think that after after the 2-nil went in the game was over already as soon as that. So that was on the 20th minute that uh Desiree Der made it 2-0. If I may say just something because it’s also the win of a whole team. I mean uh also the central defenders were were pretty good. There were there were a few uh dangerous crosses from from the sides a few corners. So the set pieces which is one of in in strong points. So they they had some little chances but if you look all over the place and especially how PSG was just in control of the game. Yeah. those goals and and especially the third one was such a beautiful goal with because that’s also a player we have to I mean we can talk about Dui who was the standout player tonight but if you look the the job Usman Dembele does as a false number nine a guy who wants to score goals but how much he is doing to protect the ball who to recover it and at that point and at that goal especially how he is setting it up giving a fantastic ball to Vitina who gets it Dway all on the right speed and then the the finishing. I just have to show this picture to our viewers because you can see behind Reuben there as he goes to Desire D for his second goal. You’ve got Kkea, you’ve got Marinos, you’ve got Fabian Ruiz and Nuno Mendes even there’s just every single player came to the park and they played their part. It was really incredible as you mentioned there that Osman Dembele back flick as a as a Dutch as a Dutchman which we should say total football but yeah it’s uh it it came very close to that. It was it was an utter joy to watch. Unfortunately there was an opponent who who didn’t play well but nothing to take away from PSG. They played a perfect game. So just a reminder Hakeime with the first goal desire Der scoring a double at just 19 years old. We also had a goal from their January signing from Napoli Kakareshelia the Georgian who’s just gone on from strength to strength one of the best wingers in the game. And then it was rounded off by Seni Mayulu. Uh the alo also another 19year-old handing Paris the fifth goal.
PSG made history with a stunning 5-0 win over Inter Milan in the Champions League final — the heaviest defeat ever recorded in a final. The French side dominated from start to finish, securing their first European title in emphatic fashion. Ruben Slagter, Eurosport Journalist, is our guest.

I Honestly, can say I followed the start of the match with the BBC Sport app alert. I just saw the Highlight, a truly beautiful , football, with a very small inter, who's clearly was afraid of the qsg or it was a match with very large sums of money. Lol, no, lol. We won't talk about it now, but see you in 10 years. lol. As a supporter of Olympique de Marseille, forever the first. I am obviously disgusted by this victory, because they will have a blast ridiculing us, as we have done since 1993 until unfortunately today, with the star. Yes, good for French football, especially since we OLYMPIQUE DE MARSEILLE WE in the Champions League next YEAR.ALSO out of contest
from the center of my core, I WANT TO SAY A THANK YOU AND BONJOUR TO THE TRULY AND ONLY MAGICIAN CHRIS WADDLE for all the magical moments you gave me while I was admiring you playing for Us A JAMAIS LES PREMIERS,
I don't think Inter play bad , I thought PSG did not allow Inter to play at all. Inter was outworked in every area possible you could name in a game
