  1. Ukraine has scored many firsts in this war. Ukraine has Zelenskyy have show incredible bravery and resilience. they rightfully deserve their place in the history books.

Long before it makes it into history textbooks, lessons learned and countermeasures had better be showing up in (a) Monday morning’s briefing slides, (b) next week’s war college studies and war games, (c) next month’s training, (d) next round of OPLAN updates and (e) next, well, let’s be honest, next year’s procurements. Otherwise, every US base in the Pacific will look like these Russian airfields on the day the PRC finally decides to invade Taiwan.

  4. What this does do however, is a lot.

    I mean, I’ve been thinking about it, and it opens up a lot of fucking ways to use these drones.

    For one, you have this, for two, you have sabotage, for three, you could use these on factories, on machines, on equipment in bases, in military bases for precision strikes, for disrupting logistics within Russia, for assassination, for hitting Moscow, for not having to spend as much on long range drones for long range strikes. Hitting rail lines, communications, powerplants, research facilities, ports, missile launchers, everything and anything you can think, is now in danger of being hit.

    It also makes Russia more paranoid, and it is very likely that they will waste a lot of material, men and economic power to try to offset this, which is incredibly difficult given the size of Russia.

  6. Could you not ship these containers years in advance ready for a potential conflict. Park them within a few km of major airfield and send a turn on signal when war begins.
