Just give more money to criminal Putin’s killing machine. Great idea.

French industry acting like their next leader LePen.
To be fair, Titanium is geologically rare and even in the Cold War the US had to secretly buy quantities to build the SR71 “an ore called rutile ore. It’s a very sandy soil and it’s only found in very few parts of the world. The major supplier of the ore was the USSR. Working through Third World countries and bogus operations, they were able to get the rutile ore shipped to the United States to build the SR-71”
I remember well the mid 80s when South Africans were pleading with the west to commence sanctions against the SA govt in order to create pressure to stop Apartheid and the sad excuses made by business at the time. This is just a repeat whereby doing the right thing takes a back seat to profits & convenience.
these sorts of things have to be decided on a case by case basis. its important that airbus can continue to make planes.
For fucks sake, it is titanium. Go ahead, replace titanium with dunno what? Some polymer.
Ffs, if airbus needs Titanium, let them use it. I do not want to be in, some years down the line, in a plane where some part should have been titanium and is not.
It is titanium. It is not like it is optional. Nobody uses Titaniaum if they could not.
