  1. Oh look, another America vs the rest of the world situation.

  2. Do not let propaganda say that Nawrocki is pro-Russian, this man was the president of the Institute of National Remembrance, Russia put him on wanted list.

  3. Looking at Poland from a romanian perspective is like getting a glimpse of the alternate (worse) reality we could’ve had.
I feel sorry for you guys. But even more thankful for the president we chose.

  4. Of course it is Murica. The very home of worldwide MAGA plague.

  5. The fact that even people in RUSSIA voted for Trzaskowski is sending me.

  6. Rare case of the diaspora NOT voting for the nationalist candidate. Except North America of course

  7. I wish there were number of voters there. 90% of 10 votes is irrelevant compared to 50.1% of 100000 votes.

  8. Wierd way to find out my Polish uncle in Namibia did not vote this election

  9. Edit: what I said before was wrong. I messed up the numbers

  10. Why we still allow people that willingly settled in a different country any power to influence the lives of the ones that stay and actually live here is my question

  11. Well it was not enough. Top many rurals in Poland.

Another election where they vote PiS no matter what.

Maybe it’s time to accept the majority of their society is that rotten and it’s not the fault of some specific factor.

  12. Glad to see the diaspora voting for the non-authoritarian candidate for once. It’s quite the opposite of the Turkish elections

  13. Important Context:

In Poland, the prime minister holds most of the real power. The president can veto laws, represent Poland abroad, and technically commands the military (but only symbolically and in emergencies). Day-to-day governance is in the hands of the PM and the Sejm.

So for reference the President in Poland has a few more powers then the symbolic Greek President, but doesn’t even come close to having the powers of a USA president. If it weren’t for the president’s veto power, you’d honestly argue the Polish presidency is mostly symbolic too.

The next important vote, is the parliamentary elections in November 2027. That’s where everyone needs to focus.

  14. It is very easy to live in another country and have an opinion about what is going to happen in the country
