  1. I wouldn’t use a law firm that would put their profits over the law.

  2. > Not only are firms that struck deals losing clients, but those actively challenging the Trump administration in court are attracting new corporate business, per the WSJ.

So suing the orange buffoon is good for business, got it.

  3. Seriously, why would you choose a law firm to represent you if they won’t even defend themselves when the Constitution is 100% on their side? This isn’t even about political values, it’s just common sense.

  4. Well companies are going to hopefully last more than next 3.5 years so obviously it’s better avoid problems in future. Same thing China is going to do on trade.

  5. i think the main reason why is that the companies need to cover themselves if they ever need to sue the Trump administration, which is more likely than ever.

A law firm who signed a deal couldn’t represent the company in litigation against the Trump administration due to conflict of interest.

Which was the main aim of this. Have deals with as many law firms as possible makes it harder to sue the Trump administration due to the reason above.

Same as when someone “talks” to every lawyer they can during a divorce to stop the other side from using them.

  6. It turns out that if you are a government toadie, there is no reason for any company to assume that you will represent their best interests when the government is involved.

  7. Spine free representation is the kiss of doom good riddance

  8. Ha ha, and I can’t stress this next part enough, ha!

  9. Funny how Oracle is shifting their business from said law firms but their CEO is a trump loving crook.

  10. Have you been affected by the recent tariffs, illegal deportations, constitutional illegalities, grifting, lies or gaslighting? If so call 1-800-The-Taco and we will put you in touch with attorneys who will actually fight for you and not roll over to the orange buffoon.

  11. Sounds like the law frims that caved to Trump’s demands found out that they quickly went from pro-bono to pro-boner.

  12. >The WSJ reported on a legal luncheon at Manhattan’s Cipriani restaurant in May, where Brooke Cucinella, a top lawyer at the hedge-fund Citadel, told other lawyers present that they like working with lawyers who don’t run from a fight.

    Woah. Harsh and true

  13. this is probably less a statement about the integrity of the legal profession and more about how these companies want their lawyers to be rabid attack dogs

  14. How could you ever trust a law firm that not only caved like that, but, if they’re working for him, would very possibility be doing something completely against your own interests?

  15. “Several other law firms targeted by these orders opted to cut deals to avoid disruption. These deals involved promising to do pro-bono work, some of this work will be defending police officers accused of wrongdoing.”

    Disgusting, morally bankrupt cowards.

  16. Good. Let the law firms that capitulate to fascism writhe into nothingness. They have proven that the law doesn’t matter when times are tough.

  17. It’s honestly wild how every company that’s tried to appease Trump or his base ends up worse off than if they had just stood their ground. Target’s a perfect example; they totally misread their actual customer base, which is overwhelmingly liberal white women. MAGA folks were never loyal Target shoppers to begin with, just like they’re not the ones hiring these big-name law firms.

  18. I worked an event recently that involved one of these law firms. The guests that showed up was way lower than the number they gave us when they booked because many of their employees had left since then

  19. Makes sense. When you’re wanting a lawyer to represent you in court, you want the best, the smartest, and the most qualified.

  20. This! Every American needs to boycott companies that support him.

  21. Good. Trump violated their rights, they kneeled to him out of cowardice, and now they reap what they sowed.
