Would you say this is authentic and represents Belgian snacks well? 🙂

  1. Personally I’d say yes.
    There’s Jules destroopere cookies, meli, chocolate,…
    Maybe left and right some out of context bags, but overall certainly fine.

    Enjoy !

  2. Yeah, that’s about half the alley from the Colruyt. It’s only the branded, more expensive snacks, though. The only missing thing I can think of would maybe be a Madelaine or some Bastogne biscuits.

  3. I wouldve swapped the Haribo (which is german) for a bag of Pickles potato chips. But the rest is a very good representation.

  4. I would say absolutely! There are some big classics here, some childhood favourites, and some “basic” snacks that almost everyone has in their house.

    The only thing missing here would be, in my opinion, dinosauruskoeken.

  5. I would switch out the Lay’s (American) Grills (Dutch) and change it with maybe speculaas (Biscoff) or pralines (Gylian). I am also missing some local specialties (e.g., cuberdons).
    Enjoy!

  6. Gosh that’s a whole childhood memory box right there ! Where did you get it from ? And where do you live ? Know it might be too late to order but I can try !!!

  7. It feels genuine because none of it makes me excited in the slightest. Feels like the most everyday stuff to me. So enjoy 🙂

  8. Yes 100% There will always be something missing but overall absolutely 🙂

  9. Haribo = German
    Duyvis = Dutch
    fanta = American

    But as a Belgian i eat them all so , passable i guess

  10. It’s pretty accurate, but there’s stuff like ‘koetjesreep’, speculaas/speculoos, meisjesvlees, smoelentrekkers, and ice tea (always sparkling in Belgium) etc that’s missing imo. But overall pretty good.

  11. Lotus, Cote d’or, Jaques, Meli, Croky are or were all Belgian brands. I do not know about the others or the availability of them in other countries but I recognise everything you have there, enjoy!

  12. Cha-cha are, for real, the best chocolate bars!
    Kind of sad the for the Galak and that disgusting-looking Bananachocolate but for the rest, decent selection

  13. Looks good actually but personally I feel there are some essentials missing like cubberdons or a Belgian chocolate bars lol

  14. that cha-cha bar is so nostalgic to me, I didn’t even know they still sold those XD. (although even in my childhood it was considered a mid snack)

    I second that a can of sparkling ice tea is missing, in my experience most other places only have flat ice tea.
    And idk banana chocolate is a weird choice to me? so many traditional chocolates to choose from XD.

  15. That’s gonna suck… only one bouchée. You’ll crave for more and more and more for some time afterwards!

  16. Savour the Bouchee, it’s so good. Also cha-cha 😍😍😍

  17. You know, usually these types of posts would make me write an essay about how company has no idea what they’re doing but… There’s a few things missing and there’s a few odd ones out, but this is very good.

  18. that’s quite accurate. I’d say I have about 3/4th of that in my own cupboards 🙂

  19. I would’ve changed the Fanta with something else but apart from that it’s solid. If it had to be a soft drink then maybe a something like Ritchie Cola, apart from that I only know we have beer and water

  20. Do you drink alcohol? If so, you should know that in that pack branded Giucopa (top-right), the purple colored sweets, which taste like violet, are to be dropped in a glass of champagne of sparking wine. It gives the drink a nice taste!

  21. Not sure what Fanta and Haribo are doing there and I would have swapped them for Lutti candies and the salt & pepper chips for paprika or pickles. And added a box spéculoos (since you have frangipane and waffle from Lotus who’s probably the mainstream speculoos-maker) but otherwise… it’s pretty spot on ! Enjoy and be careful with the Chokotoff! 😄😄😄

  22. The Duyvis nuts aren’t Belgian. Neither is the Nestlé bar. Besides that, the whole thing is representative IMO.

  23. yup, got croky, jules destroopere, lotus, cote d’or, bouché, LU, looks pretty well put together. just wish it had the less iconic but still popular snacks like madelaine and also no cuberdons is odd.
