  1. Schoolchildren will be taught about careers in the military and other defence issues as part of plans to prepare the UK for possible war.

The [Strategic Defence Review](https://inews.co.uk/news/politics/what-to-expect-defence-review-3725941?srsltid=AfmBOooR2fRrWkWsDYW5EnFAn-B_7-3xBFatFy27cQ8bG_FkGWhZcg-p&ico=in-line_link), which has been backed by the Prime Minister, says Britain must increase its readiness for conflict with Russia or another enemy by spreading awareness of defence throughout the whole of society and boosting recruitment to the Armed Forces.

Keir Starmer wants a new “national conversation” led by the government on [defence and security](https://inews.co.uk/news/politics/integrated-armed-force-cyber-defence-review-3721771?srsltid=AfmBOor7BLx5Jx41_5Tr-lpmG-70-ZwsjYcDOn1fWif4yZl-pe5ZF4p9&ico=in-line_link), the review says, which will reconnect “defence with society”. Work to give school pupils a greater understanding of Britain’s Armed Forces will form part of this plan.

It is understood that while there will be no change to the national curriculum, the Ministry of Defence has been asked to work with the Department for Education on increasing awareness of military careers in schools.

*The i Paper* understands that the work to foster a deeper understanding of the Armed Forces among young people will be focused on increasing military outreach programmes in schools and showing students that they can have careers in the military.

It comes as a new Defence Readiness Bill will be introduced, requiring the government and industry to show how they are preparing for possible war.

The review also says the regular armed forces, which have been “hollowed out”, will be increased by 20 per cent “when funding allows”.

  2. Sounds about right put the masses defending the outside of buildings and other infrastructure whilst the rich and the parasites are holed up in their bunkers. Looks like we will have a land fit for heroes one again when the bomb damage is cleared up.

  3. There isn’t going to be a war. The government won’t even stop protestors attacking arms factories…

  4. You too can kill brown people in some country you’d never heard of for the state

  5. War with whom? Russia? The US? China? Why is this specifically coming up now?

  6. Russia:
“Keep making empty threats of war at the UK, maybe this time we’ll fuck up their economy by diverting resources to unnecessary defense.

… holy shit it actually worked?”

  7. There’s no real risk to the British Isles. The only real risk is if say China decides it wants South Georgia and the Sandwich Islands, or worse Falklands, and I don’t see us doing a damn thing about it, apart from lodging a complaint with the UN.

So that means it’s either a distraction, or they plan to on sending our military on another stupid overseas campaign.

  8. Apparently, Russia is busy teaching it’s kid’s about drones, sounds like an easy pass lol

  9. My Finnish grandsons will be doing their national service. At least they’re clear why. Daughter in law a crack shot ( hunting family from the eastern border area with Russia). Last time we chatted I joked about her getting Putin in her sights. Her eyes narrowed a bit and she said ‘of course’.

By comparison we are pathetically complacent in the UK. Disrupt tech and food supplies ( two missiles on a couple of container ports) and we’d be rolling over and shouting ‘ ‘snot fair’ in a week or two. At least it wouldn’t be online with our systems down.

  10. uhhh, what have I missed?

Even Trump isn’t stupid enough to declare war on China over the tarrif tiff is he?

  11. Britain has a Trojan horse where the real enemy are already within our gates.

  12. In other words, it’s time, once again, to groom working class boys into sacrificing their lives for the further enrichment of billionaires and oligarchs

Brainwashing kids, just like North Korea

  13. The next war will be fought (and won) by China blocking all their exports to us. They will win, because they make all the things we need to assemble the stuff which is apparently Made in the U.K. We can’t ~~make~~ assemble anything anymore if we can’t get the parts.

We already have the C.C.F./A.C.F. etc., these could do with better support and funding. We need kids learning about STEM, how things are made, and how to make things, so that when China turns the ships around it won’t matter. Decades of transition to a non-manufacturing economy have left us in this mess, and China knows it.

  14. No way that any young British men can go off to fight and leave behind family whilst Great Britain is filling up with non British young men that would never fight for Great Britain or our way of life. Not going to happen

  15. Fight for what exactly? An identity that doesn’t exist anymore?

  16. They need it to stop themselves getting raped going to the bus stop

  17. Even more militarism being allowed into the UK education system, the ghoulish British army targeting literal children to be future cannon fodder.

  18. So in the same decade we’ve seen bah bah black sheep change to rainbow sheep, teachers powerless to do anything about problematic kids, kids saying they’re the other sex and everyone around them honouring that… We’re now teaching them self defense ready for war??
    The fucking irony.

Get Starmer on the front lines… He’d soon stop begging for war to fund his mates in the military complex.

  19. Maybe feed the kids before getting them to enroll in the army?

  20. Rich people: “*the plebs want us to start paying taxes. They’ve got too comfy. Time to send them to war.*”

  21. Don’t waste their time. Teach them to build and operate drones of all sorts. That’s the future of warfare.

Who wants to fight for a country that’s chocking them in every sense of the word is beyond me.

  22. In the event of nuclear conflict, please use the following guide for the appropriate actions.

    Step one, open your legs,
Step two, place your head through your legs and ignore presence of ribs or excess body mass
Step three, kiss your arse goodbye
Step four, become a shadow burned into the concrete by the inevitable conflagration of nuclear fire

  23. They are blatantly prepping the population for war.

First make it look cool to children/gen alpha. Then they will move on to making the gen z men conservative pro forces. Then move on to make a career in the forces be a requirement for job seekers. Hell they will even get the Millennials that insist “I will never fight for this country, what have they ever done for me” onside when the job market totally collapses and you are staring homelessness and repossession in the face as the only alternative. All whilst the boomers hand out white feathers calling everyone resisting the madness wimps from the sidelines.

I hope it doesn’t come totally to the above but it just looks clearer by the day.

  24. My son isn’t dying for any politicians, I can tell them that right now.

  25. Would I fuck fight for the shithole this place has become.

  26. Switching to a pistol is quicker than reloading.

What else do I need to know?

  27. Too late for this, i grew up wanting to be a soldier but as I got older i decided this wasn’t worth dying for, and i believe this more and more the older i get and the more i see what we’re doing.

  28. This manufactured consent stuff is getting really tedious

  29. Good move. Currently, it’s a bit of a stupidly dangerous world.

  30. How about teaching them to build drones, arm them and fly them
