You put 145% tariffs on them. Quit whining.
What industrial supply chain?
So they have all the cards? Trump better figure out how to backtrack and call this disaster a victory. It’s such a shame that his fragile ego is clearly the most important factor in resolving this self inflicted wound.
Blaming China for Trumps action. Constant deflection with this republican party.
Is it TACO Tuesday yet?
According to the article, the US has been issuing export control guidelines for AI chips, stopping the sale of chip design software to China, and announcing the revocation of Chinese student visas. But the minute China retaliates by holding back certain products, the US calls foul?
Jfc you guys started a trade war with the entire world. Act like it or at least just shut up about it.
It’s delightfully ironic how one minute, they’re shrieking about China dumping cheap goods and flooding the market, then the second the flow slows, suddenly it’s economic warfare and supply chain sabotage. So which is it? Is China selling too much… or not enough? Or is the real issue that the US just can’t handle playing by its own ‘free market’ rules?
The literal definition of “Say shit, get hit”
If China doesn’t hold back sale of those items then it increases US trade deficit with China and it is “bad”. This should be seen as positive right? Or is there more to it than trade surplus/deficit?
Perhaps it’s just a negotiating tactic? /s
I propose letting Chinese automobiles into the market with realistic tariffs in exchange for these things. I’d grab the popcorn and watch the shit show. Tesla would absolutely tank. Probably along with the US auto market. We are so far behind.
Stop the Tariffs start sitting at the table you rich billionaire bigots.
Crying like the babies they are while projecting and deflecting. Not a good look for these idiots we have running things.
Yes, Xi said this was a consequence of putting the tariffs on China. Then Trump put the tariffs on China. And Xi stopped rare earth materials from coming to our shores.
Trump has freedom of action, in his revised role as POTUS. He does whatever-the-frack he wants. Just like our freedom of speech(for now), you can say whatever you want. There are consequences to your freedom of speech: now the rest of us know you’re out of your gourd.
Trump’s actions have consequences, and he’s railing against that.
The slap fight begins
Republicans are really as dumb as they seem.
Trump’s people are fucking clowns.
When there are no consequences for lying, why tell the truth?
Oh, yeah. In addition to rare Earth metals China has embargoed export of their GPU, microprocessor, computer memory and AI chip technology. We want those too.
Maybe if the Trump administration spent less time building tariff walls and more time building bridges, the US supply chain wouldn’t be held together with wishful thinking and blame games.
It might be neat if we could make it to the end of a week (any week) without 16 different conflicting news cycles about this topic. These dum dums are really making it hard for anybody to do anything about anything.
I wouldn’t have started a trade war without assuring your own businesses have adequate access to the supplies that are crucial.
That happens when you start a trade war. Trump made in his last term an agreement with China. He is a liar and betrayed Mexico, Canada and China.
Lol.
We have become Russia. We whine when someone fights back.
FAFO crowd when they FAFO. Hilarious.
It’s Chinas right. Just like it’s the USA’s right not to send out US Aid.
I thought we dont need nobody? We suppose to be booming from all this tariff money!
No whit Sherlock. When you go into the ring the other guy punches back.
How much longer before trump announces 150% tariffs on China again?
You tried strangling their growth stfu clown
