Just seeing this for the first time. Also it’s a masculine voice doing the announcements.

  1. I was one of these a couple weeks ago and got so excited I fast timed my partner to show them lmao.

  2. The issue is cleaning them regularly. I have been to several Asian countries (most notably Japan) which seem to use trains that look like from the 90s, but they are kept clean every day, not left to rot until are replaced

  3. CLIP – central line improvement programme. Refurbishment of all central and W&C trains. It should have started in 2019 but was delayed due to the lizzie line delays and the pandemic.

At one point, to mitigate the lower number of trains in service, there was a plan to run 4-car versions of the old D-Stock on the hainault loop.

  4. I went to London for the first time this past month. I was shocked at how incredibly disgusting the seats were. Like why even use fabric at all?

  5. Gosh, I thought I recognized that station. Good old West Acton.

  6. They’ve been around since September 2024, I think. I rode it once, sent a picture to my partner, and haven’t seen it again since lol!

  7. saw this one too! i was confused. i thought i went on a different train.

  8. I believe the trains are due to be replaced. This is just a mending for the seats that are really thrashed, whilst the new stock is being built.

  9. When are they gonna start getting rolled out properly does anyone know?

  10. Why on earth they insist putting fabric ? Make them pure plastic

  11. I would much rather have had air conditioning than snazzy new seats and a new screen to be fair.
