  1. >The letter comes following an April news report about the leaked draft of the budget of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.. The draft reportedly calls for plans to eliminate all funding for LGBTQ youth suicide prevention services through 988, a federal program that provides emergency crisis support to LGBTQ+ youth considering suicide.

    >“As artists, creators, and public figures, our platforms come with responsibility. And today, that responsibility is clear: we must speak out to protect the mental health and lives of LGBTQ+ youth,” the beginning of the letter reads, in part. “We will not stay silent.”

    >The letter goes onto explain that since its launch in 2022, the 988 program has helped connect “nearly 1.3 million crisis contacts with life-saving, affirming care to LGBTQ+ young people during their most vulnerable moments. Suicide among LGBTQ+ youth is a public health crisis, and it should be treated as such.”

    >“This is about people, not politics,” the letter also reads. “At a time of deep division, let this be something we as Americans can all agree on: no young person should be left without help in their darkest moment. Stripping away this lifeline leaves LGBTQ+ youth with the message that their lives are not worth saving. We refuse to accept that message.”

  2. Performative bullshit. Put up some money. While the government should fund this, if they don’t, perhaps some undeserved wealth could be put in to fill the gap. Such as the wealth of these entertainers.

  3. I’m pretty tired of celebrities exploiting attention for marketing purposes.

  4. Knowing this administration and modern day American Christians, the only funding for “lgbtq+ youth suicide prevention” will just be funneling public money to private pray away the gay camps where they’ll be electrocuted and molested by youth pastor McDiddles

  5. Pedro Pascal. Hot AND standing on the right side of history.

Yeah, a lot of actors like to jump up and virtue signal, but I don’t think this is the case with him. Bella Ramsey is trans, I believe, and Pascal is supportive, using his platform to gain attention to the cause.

  6. Dua Lipa🤣 trust me guys, this is just for better media perception.

  7. Doing the right thing is virtue signalling now? Wtf.
Take the win and accept that not everyone is a massive twunt.

  8. Imagine being so fucking bitter or obnoxious that you have to shit on celebrities that actually want to support these people at a time when most of Hollywood won’t say a fucking word out of fear.

LOL @ anyone that thinks Ariana or Pedro need to prove that they care about the LGBT community

  9. wrong administration if they want it to succeed.

if the purpose is to shame this administration….then maybe.

  10. US Administration has been very open about ensuring that Trump’s weird views will be effectuated, whether anyone likes them or not.

Don is literally Mussolini, right up to strange artwork of his face glowering at people.

Mussolini had a surprisingly high approval rate, yet did anyone trust those polls?

  11. Nobody cares about actors/singers opinions. Why would their opinion matter more than anyone else’s?

  12. Instead of wasting money on a lost cause, just run Michael Jordan’s 1987 anti-drug PSA.

Stop it. Get some help. Ezpz.

  13. This is nice! It would be even better if these well to do celebrities banded together to lobby for these interests in DC.
