    *President Michael D Higgins has said that accusations of anti-semitism against those who criticise the policies of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amount to “slander against Ireland”.* 

    *Speaking at Bord Bia Bloom in Phoenix Park, President Higgins said a propaganda campaign against Ireland is active in the United States.*

    *He also said that Irish people are among the best-informed people with regards the situation in the Middle East.*

    *He said this can be attributed in part to families who sent sons and daughters on peacekeeping missions to Lebanon and elsewhere and who returned and spoke the truth.*

    *In the Dáil, the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Harris has clashed with Independent TD Catherine Connolly over the Government’s response to the war in Gaza.*

  5. Anyone who looks at what they’re doing in Gaza and thinks that’s ok, is a psychopath. I scratch my head at conservatives in America who oppose abortion as they think its murder , but then support the slaughter of tens of thousands of children in Gaza.

  6. President Higgins is a proper world statesman, unlike trump & netanyahu & a few others I could mention.

    We will miss him when he’s gone.

    He has served Ireland and her people with distinction & honour.

  7. The fact these poor people have to line up to beg from there oppressors is just awful. The world should be ashamed at the lack of support for Palestine. How could you argue with youngfella joining hamas. What options do they have. Israel is an evil nation. Free Palestine 🇵🇸
