I noticed slight mold formation in my bathroom wall. Asked my property management if they can paint some anti mold paint to keep this completely away. But instead my property management mentioned that I need to pay for the service and get this checked. After 3 months I received this response from my property management. What does this really mean? About the court proof preparation of 2000€?
I keep my bathroom ventilated and schimmel free now. Should I be concerned? Will this have an impact when I leave apartment in future?

  1. So are you responsible for the mold? Did you trap the moisture in the bathroom?

  2. This is not acceptable, your landlord has to inspect the moldy parts, in most ways he would just paint it over – nothing i would recommend.
The Problem is that u need to prove, that the mold was not ur fault.
If u can prove that is not your fault, your landlord needs to pay for everything.
Do u have a “Rechtsschutzversicherung” or are u at the “Mieterschutzbund”? Maybe call the last one in your City, talk to them
How old is the house? Do u have a Picture from the mold? Is the wall wet etc?

  3. Did u allready pay for the Service to get the mold away from your property Manager?

  4. Just Google what is needed to prevent mold, then pretend you did all that. Then go ahead. The landlord has to pay for mold removal.
