Trump administration convinced massive Alaska energy project will find investors despite steep cost. Alaska LNG has languished for decades due its eyewatering $40B price tag. Trump has been pushing Japan and S Korea to invest in it. Energy analysts, however, are skeptical of the project.

2. 40 B$ would buy a lot of solar panels. Just saying. 

3. Why is Trump fixated on this particular project? It doesn’t make economic sense and no one wants it. It won’t generate revenue this decade. It won’t help US energy security or prices – it’s all for exports to Asia. Is it just for bragging rights? Or is it that the “eyewatering” price tag means eyewatering bribes and kickbacks?

4. They crazy thing is Trump is bullying other countries to invest in it, or he’d probably use tariffs against them 💀😂 its like we are all taken back to high school and the bully wants to be known 🤣

5. It would be more devastating if they did invest then used that as bargaining chips, threatening to revoke and pull funding if he tried to play strongman.
