  1. The Tu-95 and Tu-22 bombers targeted by Ukraine’s Operation “Spiderweb” (Pavutyna) were responsible for deadly missile strikes on Ukrainian cities, killing civilians, including children, and leveling entire neighborhoods.

    Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) says the June 1 drone operation damaged or destroyed 34% of Russia’s strategic cruise missile carriers.

  5. Ukraine has shown Russia its bomber aren’t safe anywhere maybe they will start to get serious about ending the war hopefully all Russian troops will be safe back home where they belong

  6. Honestly, I am still in awe of the brilliance of Ukraine. This kind of destruction is what I would have expected from a perfectly timed and placed minutemen missile, not a random truck with smuggled drones.

  21. From now on, every time they launch a wave of missiles and bombs, remember that there are 30% fewer of them than there would be otherwise.

    I know it’s not exact, they still have other ways of launching missiles, and there’s a whole logistics thing about rotating the aircraft to and from the front for maintenance.

    But the idea still holds. It might be disheartening the next time a wave is launched – you blew up all those planes and the missiles are still coming, and people are still dying. But there *will be* fewer of them. Lives *have been* saved, possibly thousands.

  22. I hope as many pilots and ground crew as possible were around those bombers when they got lit up. Fucking orc terrorists are worse than ISIS or Al-Qeada and deserve to be hated infinitely more so.
