NEW YORK: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have hired Method Communications as an extension of their established Sussex communications team.

The agency was retained by Meredith Maines, the Sussex’s chief communications officer, and will assist with the couple’s PR efforts, a Method Communications spokesperson confirmed.

Method will support the Duke and Duchess’ growing business portfolio, including As Ever, the lifestyle brand launched by the Duchess in April; the couple’s production company Archewell Productions; and their multi-project deal with Netflix; as well as philanthropic interests, a Method spokesperson confirmed.

The retainer follows Maines’ appointment as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first CCO in March. She formerly served as partner of marketing at venture capital firm Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Maines also serves as chief communications officer for As Ever, as well as being responsible for all external communications for Archewell Productions, nonprofit organization the Archewell Foundation and the couple’s creative projects and business ventures, according to her LinkedIn profile.

In addition to Maines, Emily Robinson has also joined the Sussex’s comms team as director of communications, according to a report by Forbes

Robinson has previously held stints at Netflix as senior director of original series publicity and director of publicity for The History Channel.

Markle’s Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, premiered on the streamer in March and has already confirmed a second season.

Method declined additional comment about details of the scope of the agency’s work with the Sussex communications team.

Method Communications is a marketing and PR firm founded in 2010. The agency was acquired by global sports, entertainment and communications firm Chime Communications, the former parent company of VCCP and CSM Sport & Entertainment, in 2018.

Chime was dissolved in March 2024. Method is now part of VCCP group, which also includes agencies Harvard and Sling & Stone. Method, Harvard and Sling & Stone formed Outleap, a global collective of tech PR firms, in 2023.

In March, Salesforce selected Method as its U.S. PR agency of record.

Method Communications reported a revenue increase of 11% to $22 million in 2024, according to PRWeek’s Agency Business Report 2025
