SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – Free artificial intelligence workshops to be held in South Bend this summer!
South Bend Code School is partnering with the St. Joseph County Public Library to help adults of all experience levels understand and use generative AI tools like ChatGPT.
No background in technology is required.
The workshops will help to break down common barriers such as terminology to learning AI that is considered only for “tech people.”
Alexandra Sejdinaj, co-founder at the South Bend Code School, said that she would like the workshops to help people feel that AI is more approachable.
“People hear a lot about AI but often don’t know where to start, or feel like it’s not for them,” said Sejdinaj. “These workshops are designed to change that. We want to make AI tools feel approachable, useful, and even fun.”
The Amazon St. Joseph Community Fund has also contributed to the workshops.
The sessions are interactive and held in-person at the Community Learning Center for the St. Joseph County Public Library on 305 S. Michigan Street in downtown South Bend.
