Green Party focus on lowering energy bills in election launch

  1. Focusing on insulation is a good idea to start with on something like this, because it’s something that can be relatively easily done at a local level with relatively modest funding.

And before people say “the Green Party don’t matter”. In local elections they very much do.

  2. That’s awesome but I wouldn’t vote for them. This the same party that had a politician trying to propose curfews for men at 6pm because they believed it’d make men less likely to rape women

Edit: Downvote me all you want as it doesn’t change the fact it happened

  3. Unfortunately, whilst I agree with what the Greens want to do, I just don’t have faith in them, I don’t believe they have costed out their plans, or if they have it will be extremely punishing.

  4. I kinda want to vote Green but I really don’t want to let a Cuntservative in through the back door either. :/

  5. *In the short term, the party wants immediate financial help for those struggling with increased bills.*

*It’s calling for people on Universal Credit benefits to get an extra £40 a week and wants the winter fuel payment given to everyone.*

*Mr Ramsay said no one should feel terrified of their next energy bill.*
    ****

It’s a shame that Labour aren’t this way any more.

  6. Sadly their stance on nuclear energy lost them my support, which will also hamper their efforts in this instance. They should seriously reconsider.

  7. How does the NIMBY party actually expect to lower energy bills? Every time someone suggests some sort of green project they immediately position themselves as its enemies because some trees have to be cut down

  8. Very clever when you can make these empty statements, knowing you have no chance of ever getting elected

  9. Won’t be troubling the scorers this time, our next vote will be in 2023. Voted Green last time, will do again. Eventually it’ll do some good, doubt I’ll be here to see it though.
