Zimbabwe’s farmers push on as land grab compensation flounders • FRANCE 24 English

In Zimbabwe, efforts are underway to revive the agriculture sector, which was devastated by the land reforms of the 2000s. The redistribution of land from white farmers to the black majority led to food shortages and abandoned farms, as many new landowners lacked farming expertise. Despite these challenges, some have successfully transformed their plots, driving hopes for recovery.

  1. So, she took the land, kicked out the Farmer, then the Farmer came back and is ranting the land from her. Cool

  2. Intelligent young man he sees both sides of the story, the woman is a harder worker and this is a win win for everyone. Economic instability was as a result of Sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe .

  4. its not their land they didnt aquire it legally. the media narrative that only white farmers can farm and need land is rediculous.

  5. If we make a mistake of giving the farmers back land instead of leaning how to farm we will cry our kids will suffer we will never get that land again black peoples are useless

  6. If the land reform has floundered, is it because Mugabe’s party destroyed the wealth that would be used to compensate the white farmers that they stole land and property from?

  7. This is the truth that will never be tout live in Zimbabwe, the United white Zimbabweans and black farmers, This is time for both Zimbabwe people to feed the nation their only country Zimbabwe. It is good to see black people united with the white for them to build one country together for the next generation of Zimbabwe. Keep it up the good work Zimbabweans.

  8. You are distorting the realities. The west impose sanction for over 25 years to nail down the government that was the reason all Africans know this what caused the economy to go down.

  9. It looks like she made a deal to protect him under the impression that she is the owner in order to cool down public outrage. CLEVER, woman, thats why this is good for both

  10. The risk is too great. Farming is long term, invest now and much, much later, hopefully u will have profit. All it takes is the government to come around again or cancel a lease. They have done it before. Politicians can’t be trusted. It’s not the workers or ladies fault, I doubt there is legitimate voting going on. Rather import and sell locally. Safer that way.

  11. >Develop the land of hunter gatherers and bring them into the modern era.
    >They kick you out and take what you built.
    >They destroy what you built.
    >They beg you to come back.

  12. Vry brave man I m so proud of him evn wth all the pressure he still ramained and still tried to make the bst out of the situation…

  13. He is an Afrikaner (Afrikaans not English), intelligent with inborn farming skills & will to work together – prosper, that's great 👍
