Why is anyone using Grok anyway? Do we trust Musk to tell anyone anything other than what he wants us to hear?
Personally I only use Gemini. Meta and X are the worst, microsoft is just a little better, while google actually delivers on its more altruistic goal of making the world data useful and available to everyone. The others overwhelmingly do the opposite. I’m fairly certain if google earth/maps, wasn’t free, there wouldn’t be any free maps of relevant quality and breadth. Plausibly also the case with search and e-mail.
I just asked it and the response is quite reasonable. The balance it sought to provide seems to be more an issue of individual national goals:
“On the other hand, some argue the urgency is overstated relative to other immediate threats—like poverty, conflict, or energy access—pointing to adaptation successes and technological advancements”
…
“The debate often hinges on trade-offs: rapid decarbonization versus economic stability, especially for developing nations.”
And that is reasonable when looking at the goals of, say, India or Africa, where development and poverty issues outweigh immediate greater action on climate change.

Literally just made a comment about this. Saying at least the AI’s are answering these questions about the 6th mass extinction honestly, for now…. 🚩🌎👀
