Hi, where stolen bikes are usually sold in Helsinki? Over the weekend my TREK DualSport 1 was stolen from Merihaka. 2021 Black with large white TREK inscription on the frame. Frame is XL size so it is a huge bike with highly mounted rear rack. Bontrager wheels and stuff.

I am an expat and don’t speak finnish so cannot find anything else than [tori.fi](https://tori.fi). btw your internet is horrible like i’m back to 90’s

  1. I don’t know where to buy stolen bikes, but if you have home insurance (like usually is required when you rent) it might be covered.

  2. Join Varastetut Pyörät on Facebook and post your bike there.

Internet might have to do with Reddit. Reddit hasn’t worked that well in last 2 days.

  3. Fancy trek bikes might go somewhere else as they seem to really popular, when friend had a trek 3 of them were stolen in one year.

  4. Report the theft to the police. You should be able to do it online, if you get your internet to work. There’s also a stolen bike section in fillaritori.com, might be worth a try to put it there as well.

One option is to make a purchase listing of a similar bike to tori or fb. Someone could try to sell your own bike to you.

The Internet problem is probably more related to your own set up, internet provider or location as Merihaka should be easily covered with 5g networks.

  5. Usually Tori , Huuto or facebook marketplace but professional thieves will scrap for parts and sell those individually or assemble a new bike out of ur parts
