King Charles is reportedly lived because of the lack of pheasants on his estate at Sandringham, which may mean the Boxing Day shoot being cancelled. He has sacked a long standing gamekeeper for his alleged mismanagement which has led to a lack of pheasants to shoot.

  1. > King Charles livid over dwindling pheasants affecting shoot

Had to read that sentence twice to understand it. That is **so** outside the bounds of an average person’s life that at first it didn’t make sense.

I hope the Rolls Royce Charles was recently gifted helps cheer him up a bit from this dreadful pheasant disappointment. /s

Edit: I read the article and now I’m the one who’s livid. Imagine losing your job because a spoiled brat didn’t have living creatures to shoot for fun:

    > It has also been reported that a long-serving gamekeeper at the Norfolk estate – which is one of the few remaining wild shoots in the count – has been let go from his role.

  2. If you’re brought up rurally, then it wouldn’t seem strange or rarified

I’m mildly surprised that the reason given is lack of birds. I thought they were farmed specifically for this. There are loads of hatcheries, but I note the KC is reported to have vetoed bringing in birds from elsewhere. Do there must be some sort of local difficulty. Avian flu?

  3. Hear me out Charles…you could just *not* shoot birds for fun this year.

  4. I had to read that a few times because my brain kept thinking it said “peasants” and I was confused 😂

  5. He could just get them pre-plucked in Waitrose for £7 each.

He could line them up & blast them with buckshot if that added to the festivities.

  6. Can he squeeze those little sausage fingers into a trigger hole?

  7. Rich privileged white man is upset that he can’t shoot more innocent birds.

  8. Hahahahahaha of course he is 🙄. Leave those birds alone. Read the room hunting isn’t ethical or good for the environment.

  9. Took me too long to realize he’s not talking about peasants.
