You’ve been caught talking shit, Paladin.
Welcome to Wednesday, and of course another gaming thread. No surprises what game I remain obsessed with and probably need an intervention for.
As we trundle into the warmer months, or if you are upside down like myself, the colder months, what’re you playing?

As much as i love Expedition33, it just started getting a bit boring to be honest. The game loop just ran out of steam for me for some reason. I get the acclaim and all that, its amazingly done but i just got bored of it.
I’ve jumped back onto a new runthrough of Borderlands 3 which is fun. That is combined with the odd jump into Call of Duty multiplayer, which as a 47 year old, just makes me think “i love this game, but i hate it so much”. I’m just too slow at it nowadays. All of the g-fueled up kids sliding and jumping around takes the fun away a bit.
Also been spending some time with my daughter playing It Takes Two and Split Fiction. They are superb games.
I finished the story in **Expedition 33** and am just drifting about doing the extra stuff. I’m not sure how much more I’ll do though; without any narrative driving things, it’s closing in on being a series of boss fights to beat, which I’m not that enthusiastic about, as much as I enjoy the gameplay. I’ve got the floating manor to do, and another small area so I’ll do them and see how I feel. Still, awesome game. Not sure what I’ll play next, something short to fill the gap between now and Death Stranding 2.
**Blue Prince** – still. I’ve finished the “main” objective of the game so now i’m doing all the peripheral stuff that i encountered along the way. the Xbox app says i’ve got just over three days play time which isn’t bad at all for a game where i feel like i’ve barely scratched the surface.
Saw Red Dead 2 was cheap, so I decided to give it a go.
Bounced after about 9 hours. There’s just way too much admin involved. Needing to clean, needing to shave, needing to look after the camp, needing to feed the horses, having to deliver meat quickly before it spoils.
Very impressive details, but it’s all menial tasks. No thanks.
Still pootling about on The Witcher 3. Nearly ready to start the first DLC, wooo.
I finished 100%ing Cauldron the indie incremental mini-game autobattler RPG mishmash game. Absolutely stellar game if you like incremental games and skill trees.
About halfway through Elden Ring and cursing the Leyndell Knights.
Need a new PC, so in the boring research stage of trying to find a good pre-built.
I went on holiday so a lot of travel means lots of time spent on my Switch Lite. Mainly been grinding through Dark Souls 1 for the first time. Going for full strength build with a big wooden club. Just defeated Ornstein and Smough
Just picked up the PlayStation portal and enjoying being able to play ps5 in bed, need to test it whilst out to see if it is playable
Currently going between Total War Warhammer 3, Another Crabs Treasure and Baldurs Gate 3.
Still on Atomfall, but the end is in sight. It’s taken me a month to get this far due to life…
But then it’s straight into the DLC
Juwt downloading the new Doom. I hear good things.
Sat on the edge of the sofa, waiting for the Switch 2 tomorrow. Today I will be playing puzzle games to keep myself occupied until I can play Mario Kart World and Guardians of Azuma tomorrow.
Still playing Spider-Man 2. Also, as a little treat, I’ve started Train Sim World 5 with the Thomas & Friends add-on (also bought the 80th anniversary pack which has him in his original green livery).
Playing my way through Powerwash Simulator. It’s nice and relaxing and doesn’t really require any brain power.
I’m back on Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth and wow I didn’t expect my heartstrings to be pulled so much. I’m glad they’re >!celebrating Kiryu in this game though, the memory spots are a really nice addition to the game!<
(I don’t know if I need to spoiler this given how long that games been out!)
I’m also watching my tracking for my Switch 2, which Royal Mail should be picking up from Nintendo imminently. My old original model Switch has been a workhorse, and deserves a quiet and peaceful retirement. I’ll be spending a good chunk of time transferring saves over to the new switch.
***Isles of Sea and Sky***. It’s one of those sokoban games, that is, block pusher. You explore islands which have all these puzzles and secrets to them, and you can go to other islands if you have enough keys and/or stars.
Nightreign, it’s good I think, I am not good at it.
I am getting better though, weird because I consider myself pretty good at Elden Ring. I think it’s just the frantic nature of it.
I’ve also got a Rimworld game going on the steamdeck, that’s going well with a colony in permanent winter, got hydroponics going and stuff so that’s the harder bit solved but I’m only playing with chloe as storyteller so it’s quite chill event wise.
I’ve been without internet recently, so I’ve gone old school. I had Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 downloaded on my steamdeck so I got stuck into that. After getting my arse handed to me a few times by a coked up Supra, I bit the bullet and bought a faster car and thats where I left it for now
I’ve been playing a bit of **Enshrouded** when I get the chance lately. It’s pretty good. It’s certainly an upgrade over **Valheim** in many respects but for some reason, I prefer Valheim.
