  1. Won £125 on premium bonds and £3.80 on the lottery. The lottery win being between 5 people in the work syndicate I maintain.

  2. Managed to do a move yesterday at pole that I was convinced I wouldn’t be able to do! I’m black and blue now but feeling proud of myself 😀

  3. I’m not pregnant!

I’ve also just finished 10 weeks of non-stop events/trips/plans during every single weekend, and now can breathe a bit in June.

  4. wife is away on a course down south till Sunday… i have the house to myself, highlights may include but are not limited to.

    * putting something down and it still being there 10 mins later.

    * being able to use the same mug all week.

    * not having to hide my biscotti ice cream or biscotti dairy milk.

    * a fair share of bed space.

    * having a weekend to myself (normally time to myself is associated with a list of ‘jobs’)

    * having a weekend to myself doing me own DIY jobs and taking the dog all over on the bike.

  5. I have less than £100 on my student loan left. Next month I’ll have it all paid off.

  6. My new glasses are due to be delivered today, had expected it to be next week or the week after.

Want to also order a second pair but the ones I want are difficult to track down in the UK.

  7. Shockingly im on top off everything for once plus i got a head start on meal planning for the week.

Also iv lost another LB this week no idea how but il take it.

  8. very easy day today (well week actually!) which is just what I needed after losing my grandma last week. might pop to Smyths and get myself a new ps5 controller for a little treat not sure yet!

  9. We went to an event for a hobby at the weekend, and ended up in quite a large queue outside about 30 minutes before the start. When the queue started moving, a couple of young lads (late teens, early 20s) thought they’d try their luck queue jumping in front of me (for context, I’m a short woman).

I didn’t think too much before doing so, but calmly told them no queue jumping when they went to, and they listened. As someone with anxiety disorders, it’s a huge deal for me to do this.

I might have been an anxious mess for a while after, but I didn’t let myself be treated as a doormat which is a huge win for me!

  10. had pancakes for breakfast and i’m going to start typing up my assessment after working on it for three days. and it’s sunny, a win is a win!

  11. Not sure this is a win but I’m watching Jeremy Vine and they’re debating – I think – some public figure making a recommendation that we should only drink 1 glass of wine a year, and one of the callers sounds like she’s taken the decade long recommendation this morning.

    It’s pretty amusing.

  12. I have finally locked back in on the healthy lifestyle.

Now just to watch the numbers on the scale drop

    💪

  13. I love trainees. Watching them grow and gain confidence and independence as their knowledge increases and they learn more about their job. It’s so wonderful seeing them change right in front of your eyes.

  14. I just had the last 20 surgical staples removed and now whilst still a little sore I’m finally comfortable for the first time in three weeks.

I can’t even stand clothing labels annoying me so having 40 little bits of metal pulling at my skin for the first two weeks was hell, when half of them were removed last week it was such a relief but having them all out is bliss.

  15. £5 on Set for Life. I don’t think that’s gonna last my whole life, but hey. It’s a win.

  16. Won £3.60 on Euromillions last night. Cost me £5 to enter..but its the little things 😉

  17. I’ve got three days off next week and it’s going to be amazing. *Cuts back to me a few weeks ago saying I couldn’t wait to get back to work*

Packing up the house has been far easier than anticipated, we’ve got a labelling system as we’re not taking everything with us for 6-12 months to then have to move it again.

That means a fair whack of stuff is going into storage and being able to reference where something is via a spreadsheet will be a blessing.

  18. Yeah I’m not sure how I’ll be able to put my mind to it when I first do the pipe cleaning, it’s the last thing on my mind right now.

And I appreciate your second point as well, I’m expecting my sex drive to improve after all this because the pregnancy risk definitely turns me off sometimes. Thanks for sharing!

  19. Took the day off to take my car for an MoT and service. Got home after dropping it off and got a phone call asking I am free for a routine check up at the doctors as a slot just became available. Ordinarily I’d have missed that call as I’d be in the office.

  20. I feel mardy, but I managed to get 2 loads of washing done, and my lush subscription box arrived so I can have a really nice lovely shower after work today. Also I tried kerrygold butter for the first time just now, and I’m never going back

  21. I managed to do what I needed to do nicely without argument.

Three times in the last week unexpected things have gone well and worked out. I am enjoying that.

  22. The recent strong wind has blown away a wasp nest in a tree outside the front door so we don’t have to pay to remove it now. Result.

  23. Ouch! That’s worse than I anticipated! 😭 Can you claim on insurance, if it’s worth it?
