In the clip, Vance is seen waving to the attendees before gesturing to the host and asking about the right way to get off the stage. Vance, 40, is then seen approaching stage right only to see his that his way is blocked.
The vice president attempts to cover up his mistake by turning around and waving to the crowd before being escorted off the stage. It should come as no surprise that many people took to social media to make fun of the White House official.

A second user posted a meme of former President Joe Biden wandering aimlessly around.
A third user mocked Vance by saying that he was “already in some type of early cognitive decline.” Some users attempted to defend Vance’s brief lapse in thought.

“Gonna be honest, when I went to a legislative committee room I wasn’t familiar with and tried to find my way out after the event was done, it was something like this,” a second said.

According to reports, Vance responded to a post about the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) taco truck on social media platform X.
The post showed the food truck, which was commissioned by the DNC, featuring a depiction of Trump in a giant chicken costume with the words “Trump Always Chickens Out.” The taco truck will be parked outside the Republican National Committee’s Washington, D.C., headquarters and was handing out free tacos.

DNC Chair Ken Martin released a statement on the food truck’s message, saying, “Trump always chickens out – we’re just bringing the tacos to match.”
“Instead of realizing his tariff chaos is wrecking the economy, Trump continues to drag America towards more economic pain, and the rest of the world sees Trump for exactly what he is: a chicken,” he added. “With his idiotic trade policy, he talks a big game, caves, and then leaves working families and small businesses to deal with the fallout.”

The DNC retaliated with another statement defending their message and hitting out at Vance for a viral video of him at a donut shop during a campaign stop in Georgia last year. “We understand that JD Vance, the cringiest VP in American history who cannot order a donut like a normal human being, prefers to take food away from people — including 40 million Americans whose SNAP benefits are under threat from Trump and the GOP’s budget bill,” Deputy communications director Abhi Rahman said in a statement to The Hill.
