If you have been keeping up with royal fashion, then you will know that Princess Eugenie has seriously upped her game, taking inspiration from the late Diana, Princess of Wales. Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s youngest daughter was snapped in a floral design almost identical to a frock Diana once wore.

The 35-year-old looked stunning in a Rebecca Vallance design as she attended the Chelsea Flower Show in London earlier this week. She attended the prestigious agricultural event that takes place in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, in London, along with her sister, Princess Beatrice.

Her halterneck dress retails at £600 and features a chic blue floral print against a crisp white background. It pulled her in, in all the right places and showed off her figure. She paired the look with a nude clutch and matching slingback pumps.

Although this is not the first time we have seen this look on a royal. Diana, Princess of Wales was a firm fan of florals, often wearing printed floral day dresses in her off-duty moments, such as when picking up Princes William and Prince Harry from school or watching a polo match.

Her most memorable look was when she stepped out in Australia with the then-Prince Charles back in 1988.

Diana sported a bespoke Catherine Walker design, who is now one of Princess Kate’s go-to designers.

Diana’s dress did all the talking – much like the design Eugenie wore. Although hers was an off-the-shoulder asymmetrical piece, it featured a similar print.

The princess wore the dress to a bicentennial dance in Melbourne, where she and Charles took to the floor, opening the dancing to the song ‘In The Mood’ by Glenn Miller.

The infamous look was branded as one of her most iconic gowns, and sold at auction in 1997 for $50,600 – today it this figure would be worth nearly double.

Princess Eugenie took to Instagram to mark the occasion with a carousele of images from the sun-flled day.

She penned to her 1.8 million followers: Such a lovely afternoon visiting the @the_rhs Chelsea Flower Show, especially when I get to do it with my sis! It was fantastic to catch up with @horatiosgarden again and to see their beautiful display as well as visit some of the gardens on show including the @dsscotland Garden,

“the @hospice_uk Garden for Compassion, the Avanade Intelligent Garden and the Cha No Niwa Japanese Tea Garden (who has won garden of the year).”

Royal fans were impressed with Eugenie’s summery outfit and took to social media to praise her.
