Macron rejects use of the term “genocide” to describe Russian atrocities in Ukraine

  1. Ok, so this will go down like a charm here in Ukraine. Especially this fucking quote:

“Asked whether he, like US President Joe Biden, would use the term “genocide” for the killing of Ukrainians by the Russian military, Macron said: “I would be careful with such terms today because these two peoples [Russians and Ukrainians] are brothers.”

  2. Has Putin got his fist up the asses of every french candidate? Especially with that additional comment he made

  3. Macron – brother just is killing thousands of civilian people – woman , kids , typical situation for brotherhood

  4. It’s a shame Moscow still has so much influence over the West.

It’s a same Macron is so foolish, or callous.

  5. I genuinely think that Macron is an idiot. Not as in “morally bad”, but as in “has poor judgement and likes to grandstand”. Guy’s clueless and likes to brag about it.

  6. He just wants to do everything opposite of Biden for attention. Yet this guy is somehow the best France has,

As I’ve said, the Anglo sphere needs to form an alliance and get deeper ties with eastern Europe. France and Germany can not be trusted.

Biden Should know this well, [here he is talking about Europe in 1995](https://streamable.com/72uvtp)

  7. What he said is completely stupid but strictly speaking what’s going on in Ukraine can’t be classified as genocide. Plenty of war crimes happening though, I don’t understand why he’s being so soft on Russia.

  8. Macron…stop trying to go soft and “democratic” on Putin’s regime.

Avoiding to condemn the war crimes committed by Russian troops and mercenaries in Ukraine is not an option unless you’re a coward (I mean how many talks did you organise with Putin that led nowhere huh?).

Focus on not losing the elections (cause if LePen wins, Putin scores a point and an ally in France, in this moment it is not ok to have Russian puppets infiltrating Europe)

  9. Painfully obvious some western leaders don’t care about Ukraine or at the very least their hearts aren’t in it, comments like this add weight to this belief and they’d rather not antagonise Putin too much for fear of losing energy and business links.

  10. How does them being (or not being) brothers change anything? Does it magically take back all the horrible shit Russians have done to their “brothers”?

Anyways, word of the day: Fratricide
