  1. As far as anyone can tell the organisers were not aware of what they had done until during the first kettfest. However it’s actually very popular so decided not to change the name.

  2. Edgefest at lilliardsedge park jedburgh. Kills me every time

  3. I love that one of the events takes place by McDonalds – ye olde landmark

  4. There must be at least 1 dissapointed group every year who turns up without doing their research, pockets filled with 🐴 and then they arrive at the spoken word stage.

  5. If James Acaster saw this post he’d be very angry

  6. Would sound appropriate if this was taking place in Bristol.

  7. Wangford used to have a village New Year party called Wangfest, I’m pretty sure they went with that deliberately though.

  8. If there isn’t a food or beer stall there called “The K-Hole” I’ll be very disappointed.

  9. I was a regular attendee of CockRock while it was on (in Cockermouth)

  10. Hahaha I’m in neighbouring Corby and every year when I see these poster go up I have a chuckle.

  11. Not a town event but an industry one, I work in transport.

    I was invited to MegaTrans!

  12. I always thought Truck Festival was bad, as there’s been a Truckfest for years which has actual trucks, and Truck Festival is just music with no heavy haulage.

  13. Christ, didn’t expect to see this here.

Not only is it my hometown, but my old band played this festival. Hope it’s still going strong!

  14. another variation on “don’t pronounce all the letters in Ke’rin'”

  20. There was an event featured around watching Netflix.

It was called a “Netflix and Chill festival”.

  21. My old village just outside of Northampton has the ‘Weedon Weekender’. It usually pisses down.

  22. I’ve always enjoyed “A fête worse than death”

  23. missed a trick by not naming the stages “denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance”

  24. the Pride event on the Isle of Wight. they didnt think through how that wound sound.

  25. The Cheltenham Literature Festival was promoted as #Clitfest one year. Quite a lot of people were disappointed.
