I have a genuine question about why do I only see small pockets of soldiers wandering around the battlefield and other areas in Ukraine. Is it just a modern tactic or have their forces really been dwindled this low, so what I really want to know, are there large amounts of troops (like 50+) to go and take a village/town/city or is it just two groups of like 5 from each side fighting until they're all dead?

  1. Large gatherings attract large rockets. You don’t want single HIMARs rockets killing 200 people again.

  2. Like others have mentioned safety is a big thing. It’s hard to even amass much in the way of resources without someone noticing when everyone has so many ISR assets. Another reason could be that the front is huge and relatively few Frontline soldiers per mile of it.
