  4. No one is discussing shutting down. There is no need to panic.

    The article is simply saying the variant has been “classified it as a ‘variant under monitoring’, meaning it is being closely observed but is not currently listed as a variant of concern.” The reason it’s a concern is because of its “increased transmisibility.” And goes on to list which countries have confirmed cases of the strain. The area with the most confirmed cases is Hong Kong.

  29. Funnily enough, I’m aware of one family that has a person that tested positive. The rest of them are under the weather. Except for their son, who just so happens to have contact with my mum.

    I swear we’ve gone 5 years with so many scares, never had it or at least never tested positive. Each time we think this is the time, one day we’re not gonna get lucky.
