While it was a poor season for Ipswich Town, it’s fair to say that centre back Dara O’Shea enjoyed a promising campaign on a personal level.

The Ireland defender would make 35 Premier League starts on the spin after joining the club towards the end of the summer transfer window, playing the full 90 minutes in all but one of those games. He would be named the club’s player of the season as a result.

O’Shea has shown over the last couple of seasons that he is more than capable of shining in the English top flight, so it is no surprise to see he is already drawing plenty of interest this offseason.

Premier League Trio Eyeing Move For Ireland Defender

The Irish Sun are reporting that Premier League trio Wolves, Burnley, and Leeds are all keen on a move for Dara O’Shea this summer.

Burnley know the Dubliner well, with the player spending the 2023/24 season at Turf Moor before he was sold to Ipswich for around £12million at the end of last season.

Wolves are another club with a longstanding interest in O’Shea, having been linked with a move for the player last summer. As for Leeds, they will be keen to bolster their squad with some top flight experience on the back of their promotion from the Championship.

It remains to be seen what sort of fee Ipswich would seek for the player, although you would imagine that they would look to turn a profit on the amount they forked out for him considering his excellent form in recent times.

For now, O’Shea will be concentrating on Ireland’s June fixtures against Senegal and Luxembourg. The first of those games will take place against the African nation at the Aviva Stadium on Friday evening.
