Hi everyone, I’m going to stay in Vienna for a couple of days in May and I was thinking of maybe doing a day trip to Bratislava since it’s only an hour away by train. I checked here [https://korona.gov.sk/en/](https://korona.gov.sk/en/) but it doesn’t say anything about tourists entering and leaving the country by train. What are the vaccine requirements to enter the country and just visit the city (eating in restaurants, visiting museums, etcetera)? I’m from Italy, I’ve had two doses of Moderna in January/February so it’s too early for me to get a booster, and I’d prefer not to have to do a PCR test. Big thank you to anyone who’s going to help!

Check this, but the best answer is there are no limitations because when you arrive by train, noone will check your vaccination status or anything. Schengen works as usual at the moment, so no real restrictions on entry from Austria.
No restrictions 🙂
According to [this](https://korona.gov.sk/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/en-travel-regulations-border-regime_20211201.pdf), you are considered fully vaccinated.
You are supposed to register to [eHranica](https://korona.gov.sk/en/ehranica/), but I have yet to encounter anyone checking it.
The only time I had been checked for vaccination status after arriving by train from AT was last October, a late arrival just after midnight.
I travel to and from AT by train quite often (2-3 times a month)
Let me just say you’ll be disappointed in this shithole country just stay in Vienna. You’ll reevaluate your decisions after arriving at the train station
My IT friend, i hope you will meet the rightkind of peoole that will take you to the perfect bars. Have fun!
Just a tip: Make sure you arrive to Petržalka train station and not Bratislava main station. Petržalka station is much nicer, and connection to downtown is still great, just a 5-10 min bus ride.
