In actual fact Russia deliberately provoked the war, the Georgian government just took the bait. It seems clear Russia prepared a trap for Georgia in 2008.

Further demonstration of the fact that “peaceful” protests don’t solve anything. Same story in Serbia or Turkey and a few years back in Belarus.

The sad part about this is that despite all the protests by Georgians throughout months bear no fruit. Georgians took up to the streets daily, shooting fireworks but the government, if you can call such a shit party so, gives zero fucks. It’s like they’re immovable. How they think they’d benefit making Georgia succumb to Russia?
The same problem in Belarus, Serbia, Turkey, etc. The governments simply don’t care.
