1. Oh man, it really does sound like a situation of courtroom bias. It’s left a bit unclear in the article but I believe he did get custody eventually?

2. That memoir is a stunner, she is a very good writer. Both she and her brother, Colin Hanks, went through a lot at the hands of their very mentally ill mother.

3. People read this headline and be like, “Wow, I bet the release of this book is the first time in Tom Hanks’ life that he learned his baby mama was nuts and wasn’t a great parent to their daughter!”

   Of course he’s not surprised. She went to live with him full time as a teenager.

4. “not surprised” did he learn about it by reading the book?

5. Why didn’t Hanks and new wife attempt to get primary custody of his daughter? Why did Hanks permit his daughter to endure the emotional & physical violence? The daughter failed by both of her parents.

   Given all the dysfunction the Hanks kids from his second marriage allege in their memoirs, Hanks and his second wife, failed those kids too.

   Shameful Hanks didn’t learn from Capt. Dan (Gary Sinese) on healthy & loving marriage, parenting, friendship and giving to others from your wealth.
