I wonder why he had us on the naughty list a few weeks ago. Not sure we ever got a good explanation for that.
It would be interesting to see the reaction if the Russian ambassador made the same claim. “you have not remained neutral”.
Is there not a weird contradiction here? Is he ‘outing’ Ireland?
Good and hopefully we never are in the future, unless it is actually appropriate.
Ah shur, he knows us well.
“Yep, we’re totally neutral….. Here’s some aid, on the QT, say no more, say no more…. Yep, totally neutral”
Fear clistes, every one of us. 😀
You’ll be screaming for neutrality when you get drafted in to a European war
We haven’t remained neutral diplomatically and rightfully so. Putin certainly doesn’t class us as neutral.
Remaining completely netraul would essentially be saying we’re OK with invasions and genocides as long as it doesn’t affect us.
The reality is Ireland hasn’t really been neutral since 1939. We have maintained a convenient mask of neutrality which afforded us some political benefits. But we have been politically aligned to the west since ww2.
