Miss Ireland Jasmine Gerhardt is still on a high after the Miss World 2025 pageant that took place in Telangana, India last weekend.

She placed in the top 20 in Miss World and also won the title of Top Model Europe, making it the best result for Ireland in 15 years, when Emma Waldron placed fourth in 2010.

Now that the competition is over, however, Jasmine has her sights set on her next big goal: breaking Hollywood!

The model and human rights law graduate first plans to sit the New York Bar exam to become an attorney, but she’s also going to try and get her foot in the door to the acting world.

Speaking to EVOKE, she said: ‘I am absolutely knackered [after Miss World] so I’m gonna put my feet up for a while, but I will be back with some really exciting stuff.

‘I have gotten a really cool opportunity perhaps to go into acting, and sitting the New York Bar exam will be next on my agenda as well. So that’s my plan and I hope to make it to Hollywood soon.’

The Miss World competition has given her a confidence boost she admitted, saying: ‘It’s given me a lot of confidence speaking, interviews, getting my message crossed and just being confident in me.

‘That wasn’t something I was always very good at but heading over there knowing there is a massive fan base behind the country that people do wanna hear your story, people do wanna hear you speak, and it gave me that boost I think I needed to take the next step in life.’

Speaking about her incredible experience at Miss World, Jasmine said that while there’s a stigma these days around pageant competitions, she feels it’s not deserved as she left feeling empowered after meeting all the other women taking part.

Jasmine said: ‘I was out there for three and a half weeks and it was really like something else. Obviously, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go and represent your country on a global stage.

‘There’s a lot of stigma behind pageants being outdated but it was crazy when I went there, I saw just how relevant Miss World is as an organization,’ she said.

‘There are 108 contestants from all over the world there representing their country and their advocacies and being these amazing ambassadors and spokeswomen. It was deadly, I made friends for life.’

Jasmine explained that the Miss World competition is all based around the ‘Beauty With A Purpose’ initiate where contestants bring a charitable project they are passionate about to the international stage and promote it.

She said: ‘The women are just amazing, they have done charity work for years and years. They’re doing talks to the United Nations. They’re changing legislation in our countries. They own charities, podcasts, they’re on TV promoting a message to enhance people’s lives in their countries in any way that they can. It was seriously empowering being there around so many influential women and change-makers.’
