  1. As soon as it hits 2 billion he plans on spending the stream royalties on five guys double cheese burger and a drink with any leftover money.

  2. Was afraid to click on the link, thought I’d be rick-rolled.

  3. No way I’m clicking the link to this “story!” I’m not a sucker.

  4. I walked by a school prom night a couple weeks ago, and they’re playing Never Gonna Give you up…and I was just petrified that I was in the wrong timeline. So weird.

  5. So do artists get 0.003 cents a stream off Spotify? So he gets a split of 3 million bucks? Thats not bad if it’s close to true. I can’t ever tell what’s true when I search anymore 🙁 70/30 split between 0.003 and 0.005 cents per stream with 70% going to the artist.

  6. u/reallyrickastley hey dude they posted about you

  7. It would be stranger if 38 years ago he said he dreams of having a billion streams on Spotify

  8. Rick’s the only person I believe who says he’ll never give me up. He’s proven this decade after decade

  9. Absolutely incredible feat for anyone to do… however my main thoughts are how MAINSTREAM other artists are where Drake can put out a dogshit song and it’ll be at 200,000,000 in a week or two

Meanwhile in my head every other person around knows the Rick Roll… And don’t think I’m praising Drake lmao

  10. Kind of crazy to have a song be this popular mostly as a joke

  11. If it was gonna be anyone, it was bound to be him. If it was gonna be any song, it was bound to be that one.

  12. This is down to the UKs obsession with nostalgia
