  1. > “My wife runs everything,” says Hamill, 73. “I go out and I do the work, but in terms of the bills and all the details of everyday living, I’d be lost without her.”

    > According to the actor, he’s “always telling” Marilou, a former dental hygienist, that she’s “got to get someone to help you with” the tasks, “but she’s a perfectionist.”

    > “She’s had assistance, but she winds up sort of doing everything herself anyway,” Hamill adds.

  2. It’s worth noting the article points out that he’s constantly telling her to hire help and it’s her decision that the dynamic be this way. The headline made me wince at all the pitch forks I know it’s going to generate.

  3. Eventually men will understand that acting this helpless is not caring for their significant other.

  4. She’s cute. He’s very lucky that she cares so much to do the job right.

Some people just like micro managing so things are done the way they want.

  5. Why was Mark smoking cigarette butts out of a public ashtray a few years ago?

  6. Hard work being married to Jim the Vampire, Luke Skywalker and the Joker all at once

  7. I can so see failing in love with a few of my dental hygienists over the years. There is something oddly intimate visiting the same person every 6 months and having them poke around in your mouth.

  8. Good for him. Mark Hamill has always seemed like a genuinely sweet guy, and I’m glad him and his wife have built a life together. Not uncommon for the “idk just roll with it” and the “gotta have plans A-Z a week in advance” types to have really good marriages.

  9. I’d be on the streets without my wife. I owe her absolutely everything.

  10. Bro, you’d figure it out cuz you’re an adult

  11. This is not the compliment he thinks it is. 🤦‍♀️

  12. This was my life for a bit…until I found out my ex was stealing the money and also paying the bills with my money as she saved hers. To trust is beautiful, but to trust that much with as much money as he made can be a very scary line to cross.

  13. “A read of King’s that Hamill is currently engrossed in? The “fantastic” 2000 memoir On Writing, which the actor says is “like being in a room with” King, now 77, “and being able to ask about the process.”

This book. It’s like gold for anyone who loves reading.

  14. This is the result of years of Luke Skywalker loading the dishwasher wrong isn’t it

  15. I once read a personal essay by a woman who was pregnant with their sons baby and it was mostly about how Mark Hamil’s wife had tried to coerce her into getting an abortion and said really disgusting things to her in writing. She kept the baby. I assume they now love their grandchild but that essay was really disturbing and I will never forget it.

  16. > “She’s had assistance, but she winds up sort of doing everything herself anyway,” the ‘Life of Chuck’ actor says of his wife Marilou

Never seen it but this guy looks kinda familiar for some reason…

  17. I mean, doesn’t everyone in a happy marriage say the same?
