Documents for confirming my stay in Germany

Hi everybody,

I am gathering the documents required to extend my residency permit in Germany for another five years (I arrived in 2017).

One of the requirements is this:

Sie müssen Ihren ständigen Aufenthalt in Deutschland nachweisen. Dies gelingt am einfachsten mit einem Melderegisterauszug. Sie können auch Steuerbescheide oder ähnliches verwenden.

Does anyone have experience with this, or knows what my options are?
1. Submitting online is not doable because my ID / passport simply cannot get recognised by the required app
2. Submitting offline is doable, but takes up to a couple of weeks so I’m a bit wary of that one (my appointment is early May)
3. Regarding tax return statements, I have the ones I received after submitting my tax return, but somehow I’m missing the one for year 2019. I’m afraid if I try to obtain it from Steuramt I’ll run into an even bigger bureaucracy hell.
4. Perhaps there is some “simple way” to prove my existence here? Such as my anmeldung from 2017 etc?
