  1. Not really consistent with the growth of the global right, is it.

    I suspect the questions were asked in a way which did not reflect people’s real attitudes.

    E.g.

    Do you believe we should help the poor in developing countries

    vs

    Should we help the poor in this country before helping the poor in other countries?
