  5. You know that shtututu sound she makes? It means that you closed the throttle valve while the turbo is still turning creating pressure against the turbo making it stop its rotation, this creates a meaningful amount of wear on the turbo and so it has to spool up again when you try to accelerate afterwards.

    In German cars you will find a diverter valve (N249) that purges that over pressure right in front of the turbo preventing wear and keeping it spooled up.

    It might not sound as good but its a way better solution.

    Also, the Japanese mostly sell these cool cars in their domestic market or maybe in the US but not in the EU because they fear the EUs fleet emissions regulations, thats why you only really see those japanese econoboxes on the roads but you get all the cool German cars here.

    I’ve been to Japan a few times and hire cars from a company called Omoren [Omoren ](https://www.omoren.com/)

    We did these R34 & 32 GTRs back to back with an Evo 6 & Supra. We felt the Evo was the most nimble around the C1 (the roads from Tokyo Extreme Racer) and around Fuji.

    They’re older cars and they’d be beaten by cars nowadays that aren’t even the top model in their family. I’ve had diesel hatchbacks that would be superior.

    But, if I won the Euromillions, these are what I’d buy.

  30. None of the vehicles shown are capable of reaching full throttle on a long term (maybe two, or three hours) and are therefore completely obsolete. Sure, they’re good enough to make a bit of noise, but you could do that with a tin can, too.
