  1. This seems to imply that Russia has been holding back in Ukraine. Otherwise haven’t we seen their rearmament in action? I’m not sure if I buy that.

  2. Okay, Germany has people and factories. Build some weapons.

  3. Germany s Merz says some US lawmakers have ‘no idea’. Fify

  4. The people who govern are too old, senile, and lacking in reflexes to react in time. They steal my oxygen.

  5. Rearmament funded by Germany. You did this Germany, go fix it

  6. This war will bankrupt Russia. Ultimately Russia will become part of Ukraine. In a way putins dreams will come true. LOL

  7. Yes, America has a few in congress genuinely dumb enough to not see the ‘always evil in every incarnation’ Russian governments as a significant and persistent threat. And more than that very likely on the Kremlin payroll in one way or another. Most of the Republicans don’t actually get the hate against anybody defending themselves from psycho Russian governments but they don’t rock the boat enough because the führer wants a stronger Russia for his own selfish ends. It truly is a movement mostly coming from Trump and his family above all else.

American conservative voters are careless and lazy and base their ideas on magical fantasies and faulty math whilst projecting that somehow the other party and all other countries are guilty of just those things and thus think they can wash their hands like Pilate of their sins and declare it patriotism. That is how you get people who blather on lecturing others about fiscal conservatism and the constitution but vote (and failed to primary, umm how many times??!) for Trump the crackwhore business and government deficit king of all time and he of “I will be a dictator” fame. And yes, legendary morbid alltime bloated deficits in Trump 1 including the 8-10 year ‘but maybe soon to be endless’ upper income tax cuts. Jeez, Trump has called himself the debt king and years ago at that. Ach. Good job managing the toddler without over-correcting. Battles were well picked I thought. Of course, anybody looks amazing next to the doddering toddler in chief.

  8. And they will know less as they close the intelligence units working on Russia

  9. He’s right, but I’d suggest a lot of them know but are on Russia’s payroll

  10. Maybe the EU should stop buying Russian oil and funding said rearmament. Europe is all talk, no stones.

  11. According to our reaction and politics Germany had also no idea.

  12. That may be the most bs statement ever, the US has overinflated russian capabilities since the cold war to be able to assign funds to military projects

If anything us lawmakers think russia is stronger than it actually is

  13. Some? I think its more likely most and only a small handful of them would know something substantive about this (or any other important) issue.

  14. Step up with action. Put up real money to prepare. War time level support before it’s too late. Stop the China support for Russia. Real coordinated pressure can change China’s support. Increase the coordinated sanctions on Russia.

  15. The US has protected Europe for 80 years. The Cold War is over, the USSR has collapsed and its successor state is a regional power with limited force projection. Europe will always have US support, but the time has come for Europe to bear the main responsibility in men and materiel for the protection of the European region. The EU alone has over 10x the Russian GDP and 3x the population There is no reason that Russia should be a credible, conventional threat to Europe or its sphere of influence.

  16. Anyone else thinking those spelling mistakes and missing words are odd?

  17. I thought that Russia was rapidly disarming, in partnership with Ukraine? Even if the war was over tomorrow, all Russia has is an imploded economy and a second rate 20th century arms manufacturing industry.

  18. Merz doesn’t take a shit without the US knowing about it

  19. Do German lawmakers? Or French? The biggest EU countries waited until the very last moment.

The war in Ukraine is far away from the US, so I can only thank Biden for his help and involvement. But, come on, neither Germany can’t even shoot down unknown drones over its facilities, nor any nation bordering Ukraine has downed a single Shahed/rocket flying through their land.

  20. You do know this “administration” is a puppet of Russia right?

  21. Oh, they know ( or are on the payroll ). But they are too busy preparing to lose in TW.
